I Stayed Anyway Just In Case

I've just finished reading Cekik. Will definitely make a book review of Cekik anytime soon. As for today, I was laying on my bed thinking about what's happening around me lately. I turned on my laptop and straight away search for Yuna's song called Decorate in the disk D under the folder 'Yuna'.  I listen to the song again. Apparently, the lyrics are just exactly what I need to describe my current situation. Thank you Yuna for the great lyrics and melody.

Thank you Allah for giving me the chance to have another blissful day - today. Woke up, took my shower, and as usual I took almost an hour to get dressed and putting on make up. (-_-") But I guess one hour is quite an achievement for me, because when I was in Segamat, I used to take more than one hour just to get ready. What a good time management, huh?

LRT Setiawangsa

I must say, Sheila Azlyn missed me so much. So, there she was, sitting on a green bench at the LRT station, waiting for me to fetch her. Hey Sheels, are you reading this? Are you? Oh by the way Sheels, I miss you too. Kekeke.

Great Eastern Mall

I saw my dear friend, Tressa tweeted about The Loaf the other day. The Loaf is now open at Great Eastern Mall, which is so near to my house and I do not have to go all the way to Pavilion anymore just to get my Cranberry Cheese - no more traffic jams and all! I had two cranberry cheese, one croissant, and a glass of hot cafe latte - I was so kenyang!

KLCC

Because we could not find any fixi books at the GEM's MPH, we decided to go to KLCC. Kinokuniya kan besar? Buku banyak gila some more. We should be able to find the books here, I assumed.

Sheila bought about 4-5 Malay novels? I can't remember and I am too lazy to BBM her right now. So let's just say, she bought 4 books and all of them are Malay novels. Three of them are from the famous thriller novelist - Ramlee Awang Mursyid. I get goosebumps every time I hear/see/type/read his name. Lol. Oh I'm a huge fan of his novels and by huge I mean ... super duper huge fan, like the Kpop fans? Yeap, you get the idea. Okay sorry. Anyways, as for me, I bought two fixi books called Ngeri and Cekik, and of course the latest book by Ramlee Awang Mursyid - Fiksyen 302. Happy, enough said.

Jalan Ipoh

Tukang jahit favorite mama. This aunty, i guess, is almost 60...but her touch is amazing. Mama has been using her service for more than 20 years. Brand loyalty betul. Mama asked me to teman her to tempah a baju kurung to wear on the March 5th - Aunty Bay's son's wedding. After that, we went to KFC. Makan makan dan makan. Headed home afterwards.

#justsaying: Baucar buku lebih menggalakkan rakyat membaca. Isn't that great? So make your voucher useful!

Another Leicester Rockstar

Mama and I had some shopping today at Kenanga Wholesale City. The mall is so huge and that was my first time shopping at KWC. Surprisingly, their food court located on the 7th floor is a non halal food court. Damn son! No good, no good. Nevertheless, I still love the mall because you can get all the stuffs that you want for cheap prices. Anyone who's ever been to the wholesale shops located at Jalan Kenanga would definitely love this new mall. I just know, because I love it already! Hehe. I bought a very beautiful batik kaftan from O'Darling. Hand painted batik, originally by the O'darling's! Actually I wanted to upload the picture of my kaftan. However, I changed my mind because I thought it wouldn't be a surprise then. Why? Because the kaftan I bought was actually for this year's raya. Raya lambat lagi, I know I know. Lol. Takut habis sebab tu beli juga.

Anyways, instead of blogging about my new kaftan, I have decided to blog about one of my favorite singers. All the way from England...I present to you (Nobody's reading the blog I guess but what the hell right?) ...

Jersey Budd

Jersey Budd - A very talented man from England. He is one of the Leicester-mali rockstars, satu kampung with one of my favorite bands, Kasabian. He is also a good friend of Tom Meighan, the vocalist of Kasabian. *drools over Tom Meighan* Meow! Jersey Budd plays alternative/indie rock...for the freaking win! I just love his music - they're all light and catchy. I kinda think that most of his lyrics are related to my life. Or maybe he actually made those songs for me? You'll never know right. Right...perasan much Poppy? (o_O)

Gym, Starbucks and Farahs

Yesterday was fun. I went for a group fitness class at my favorite gym nearby my place - Victory Fitness. Went there with my friend, Farah Hana. It has been so long since our last dance session. We figured we need to work out more, because we have put on weight during the final exams. It sucks to be me...I really cannot control my cravings for food. I'm sure everyone would agree with me - the most wonderful thing in the world is food. Am I right, yes, no?

After the class, I asked Farah Hana to come with me to meet another good friend of mine, Farah Liyana. Oh wow, too many Farahs there. It was kinda like a meeting of three beautiful Farahs. Krik krik. Haven't met Farah Liyana for like a month maybe? I know I know.. One month is not that long but for us, that is soooo long freaking long! Why? Gossip terbantutlah, what else? (-_-") I must say I had a good catch up with those amazing Farahs last night at Starbucks. Another thing, it was because of my yummy black tea latte (all time favorite!) and the egg mayo sandwich. Oh dear I was so damn hungry after the one hour of tiring but fun dance session at the gym!

Jerat mempamerkan bagaimana Shereen, seorang yang pakar dalam bidang IT dan merupakan salah seorang orang penting syarikat telah terlibat dalam kemalangan. Malangnya kemalangan tersebut menyebabkan Shereen hilang ingatan. Sebelum kemalangan terbabit, beberapa siri pembunuhan kejam telah berlaku. Ini menimbulkan tanya bagi pihak berkuasa kerana semua yang berlaku adalah dalam satu tempoh masa yang singkat. Jadi, pembunuhan dan kemalangan ini mula disiasat oleh pihak berkuasa, kononnya ia ada kaitan dengan tender IT bernilai RM400 juta. Shereen yang hilang ingatan keliru dengan orang-orang disekelilingnya - siapa yang boleh dipercayai dan tidak boleh dipercayai. Di sini muncul watak Melia, Tash, Rizwan dan ramai lagi yang samar-samar perwatakannya bagi Shereen. Pada masa yang sama, Shereen juga terpaksa berdepan masalah syarikat iaitu membongkar kegiatan penyeludupan kod-kod program ke luar negara yang dijual di pasaran gelap tanpa menyedari ini semua adalah satu jerat. Sama ada Shereen melepasi Jerat atau kecundang, ia hanya jelas terbongkar di penghujung novel ini.

Apa yang saya suka mengenai novel ini adalah konflik dalaman syarikat yang diketengahkan si penulis. Semua sifat pentingkan diri, tamak, skandal, dan juga hasad dengki adalah antara punca bagi konflik-konflik yang berlaku.  Watak dan perwatakan yang diperkenalkan juga amat menarik, di mana saya sukar mengagak siapa yang benar-benar baik dan sebaliknya. Jalan cerita disusun kemas, watak-watak memainkan peranan yang baik dalam membuatkan jalan ceritanya 'twisted' dan 'thrilled'.

Penulis menggunakan bahasa dan dialek yang mudah difahami. Ini juga merupakan salah satu kelainan dan keistimewaan buku Fixi. Bahasa yang digunakan bersifat masa kini dan juga bahasa pasar yang digunakan masyarakat masa kini. Secara keseluruhannya, novel ini menarik dan memuaskan hati!

Why Poppy?

Konichiwa. 

This is my second attempt to blog, using blogger. Deleted the first one due to some technical reasons. Deleted the other pages as well - wordpress, fotopages, and flickr. Used to stick to FAA (in most personal pages), now changing the display name to Poppy/Poppypops/Poppypoppz. Why?

I used to think that using your real name would be appropriate and easy for people to search for your sites - especially family and friends. However, it becomes annoying when people can easily stalk your profile by typing the keywords of your personal details - e.g name.  Also, for some reasons, it just doesn't feel right to use your own name on every site you have, especially when you have lots of websites - facebook, myspace, blogger, wordpress, tumblr, twitter, etc.

Thus, instead of FAA (initials for my name), I go for Poppy. A nickname that brings 1001 memories of love, happiness and many more, A very meaningful name, high sentimental value too. I can go on and on for hours when it comes to 'Poppy'. But to talk about the past is such a disturbing feeling. How about saving it for the next post? Yup, couldn't agree more.
